SUMATRA started in September, 2005. The band`s music features heavy riffs, fast solos and some hardcore vox. SUMATRA's music will be well received by those, who enjoy listening to bands like As Blood Runs black, Despised Icon, August Burns Red, Born of Osiris, After the Burial, The Faceless, etc.
The band has released their debut EP "The Sixth Circle" in 2008, followed by their debut album called "Heliocratic Infinity" in 2009.
Being a relatively young band, SUMATRA has supported Aborted, Carnifex, Arsonists Get All The Girls and got respective responses from all of them because of the nuclear earthcrashing energy that the band passes to the audience during their live performance.
